Fabrics On The Hill was established in October,
2006 by proprietress Kathryn D. Greer. Kathryn's passion for sewing can be attributed to her
mother, Viola. In 1961, Viola took Kathryn to Stapler's Fabrics in Center City Philadelphia to start a new
Mother-Daughter project- Kathryn's Prom Dress. Kathryn went on to attend Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science.
After raising her own daughter, Kathryn worked at fabric stores around the Philadelphia area (including 9 years at the
former Byrne Fabrics) until she was offered the opportunity to own her own fabric store. Fabrics On The Hill hopes to
instill the same passion that Kathryn has for sewing in all of our customers.
